Rain was educated in the arts at the University of California, Berkeley and holds two advanced degrees from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a Master in Art Education and a Master of Fine Arts. Rain is an award winning artist and art educator.

Born in Chicago and educated in the arts at UC Berkeley Rain’s music was born in Manila Philippines while serving as US PeacecCotps volunteer. She took her music and created a new sound, Rain Rock, crossover reggae music. Chicago Reggae Arts Awards Awards her 3 years in a row for cross over reggae music, and in 2014 she won the LA music Awards for Americana artist and album of the year for her album I&I. Her second record was created in the studio of Modest Mouse and reflects the creativity of the environment Isaac Brick creates in his Portland studios.
