Multi-talented Members, David Crocco and Cela Scott Developed the Band While Working Behind the Scenes with Top Acts from Eminem and Beck to Incubus. Cela auditioned for the impressive University of Southern California’s BFA Acting program and landed a spot in the conservatory school. She was chosen to participate in master classes in Shakespeare with guest instructors that included Alfred Molina (Spiderman 2, The Da Vinci Code, Raiders of the Lost Ark).

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre, she began performing in independent films and plays in Los Angeles and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the short Inseparable Hearts. Upon meeting earlier in Nashville, David and Cela decided to join talents and form Automatik Eden. David’s post-production engineering skills have been in demand for a while now, having worked with a plethora of contemporary music icons, in various genres. They’re both a killer combo of some of the most macabre industrial rock to the opposite EDM extreme, keeping both on the hard side though. This works very well when done right, which they seem to be proving they can do. The melodies, hooks, songwriting and use of electronica are all superior factors about them. But it’s all more for the DJ community, which is a struggle but not necessarily a bad one because it does come out antagonistically positive in the music. The Agency is the most compelling track, but everything here besides the remixes can be reviewed as excellent power alt rock as well as hardcore EDM, because we’re talking no “bubblegum” here, but rather a very mature  sass. It all loops very well to boot, so the remixes do well for constant replay. There is no denying the greatness of Citidel and Girlfriend as well, so it’s 100% full for an EP, being it’s only real flaw if any. I won’t say it’s for the kids because it is on the adult side in some places, but it’s done with utmost class for what it is. Gold To Straw will make you will dance, make love and everything cool that is to be done with music playing.

Automatik Eden provide the atmosphere to do so anywhere, from the clubs and live venues to the bedroom, and hopefully on the airwaves in the near future. Here’s hoping they stick around and make some full length LPs.
