Rise serves a baker’s dozen of tracks that allow Lukaijah to freely flow his wisdom from his heart to yours from the second “Rise Up” starts through the thought evoking ways of “Imperfectly Perfect” and “Unconditional” right through the very last second of “Victory.” Whether he’s laying down resonate lines or dropping knowledge complemented by hard-hitting production, Lukaijah’s insight and attention to detail are immediately apparent as soon as play is pressed. Where most artists shy away from speaking their truth in favor of clout chasing and padding their pockets, Lukaijah stays true to self, attacking every track with passion reserved for only the most refined MCs.
Lukaijah’s experience with esoteric knowledge, bay area culture and underground hip hop all influenced his development as an artist. As Lukaijah faced various challenges in his early life, he was catapulted on a path of healing and self empowerment. After traveling the world studying with various masters in 30 countries, he became an adept healing facilitator. He developed a method of cognitive mind reprogramming and began teaching other healing facilitators and working with a growing community of students in Japan. However, after the Fukushima earthquake of 2011, Lukaijah realized he was not fully living in alignment with his true purpose and joy of music.
Now he’s focused on bringing about change in the lives of others through music, empowerment teaching, and keynote speaking in places such as schools, universities, festivals and gatherings where seeking out truth and optimism is the key.
