HIS NEW ALBUM FEATURES AN ECLECTIC TAKE ON BIG BAND AND 1960’S FOLK ROCK WITH A MODERN TWIST

Nashville-based musician, Dustin Sellers, released the single and video for “Like A Book” off his newest album, “Mint Market.” An exploratory songwriter, Sellers has released two eclectic albums with a cohesive mixture of rock, americana, and bluegrass, including the collaborative “Dustin Sellers and Friends” as well as his most recent release, “Mint Market.” Sellers is a diverse songwriter that has been writing since he was 13 years old and has had cuts featured on cable television shows such as MTV’s Real World Road Rules Challenge, Fox’s Sports Center, and recent signings for I Am Cate and Bad Girls Club. He’s performed at packed venues like ACME Feed & Seed and The Basement as well as many other venues throughout Tennessee and surrounding areas.

Featuring a 1960’s rock vibe, “Mint Market” is layered with explosive horns, vibrant strings, and a throwback sound heavily influenced by artists of the era like The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. The lead single, “Like A Book,” has a  vibing atmospheric folk-rock feel with Sellers’ signature introspective witticisms.

A stormy, reverberating theme runs through each of the album’s eight tracks. “Mind At All” possesses a folky, western influence while “Drawing Lines” is a harrowing throwback to Big Band horns that forges forward with a melodic electric rock middle ground. “The Liar and The Thief” tests the waters of acoustic folk, allowing sentiment and vocals to take a step forward into the spotlight.

“Mint Market” is a unique perspective into who Dustin Sellers is as a songwriter and musician. With a varied world of influences, multi-purpose instrumentation, and contemplative observations – he’s crafted a release that is expertly orchestrated and brimming with excitement.
