Randy Rutherford: Who We Are

Country fans gather round because Randy Rutherford’s “Who We Are” is a must. The record starts off strong with a surprising “Slinging Mud.” Country in his heart, this artist brings it. His vocals are strong and unexpected. Listeners will be shocked to hear such a traditional country voice from this one. After the surprise, the music plays on to the title track that lightens things up within the construct of the walls of the song. Only problem, I wish it was a little lighter because the lyrics are so hopeful. We get some sass with “Can’t Get Enough of You” and then some heart in “You and Me.” Last up, “Northbound” caps off the record by bringing the mood up.
