Whether the genre is called Outlaw Rock, Dark Country, or some kind of Crossover hybrid, John Consalvo, a most resilient artist – and arguably one of the more thought provoking and honest songwriters, is set to change the scene. His new single “Open the Sea” is just the breath of fresh air fans around the world needed during tough and troubling times.

Seattle, Washington – 7th May 2021 –  Up-and-coming artist and fantasy author John Consalvo surprised fans by revealing his newest and most ambitious single yet – “Open the Sea”. This particular piece not only stands very firmly and proudly on its own, it also allows Consalvo to set up an upcoming story album titled “Into The Apocalypse – Part A: Divided & Conquered” which is set to release in June. The album was recorded at Irongrove Studios in Issaquah, WA and Produced by Tyler Mays. The apocalyptic tale will boast ten original tracks including the debut single.

The song “Open the Sea” with its poignant lyricism and enthralling imagery is also special because it invites introspection – the song itself is about a person who looks deep within himself and decides to take control over his life no matter what has happened in the past. So far, with limited release in April, YouTube views for the “Open the Sea” video are upwards of 25,000+, Spotify streams are greater than 2500, and it is currently the number 3 song on the Drooble Top 50. “Open the Sea” is also in the Top 3 on ReverbNation for singer-songwriters (Number 1 in Seattle).

About

John Consalvo has been singing and playing the guitar since his youth. He quickly realized that writing was his true passion, and made it his goal to use writing to positively impact lives with a message of hope even during hardship. Born and raised in New York City, John started off by playing gigs with small bands in small clubs, earning a measly $25 per performance that left him feeling on top of the world, for he was pursuing something he felt called to do.

In 2005, John Consalvo released his first album “Choose this Day” which was about his transparent struggles trying to walk the path of a Christian man. Since then, John Consalvo has not looked back and continues to use his words and imagery to both enthrall and inspire.
