West Haven, Connecticut – (press release date) – Rising artist Hudson, is a versatile musician who has released unparalleled tracks belonging to a number of genres. With the release of his brand new album, titled ‘Live and Evil,’ in the month of April 2021. Hudson is hoping to latch onto the hearts of music lovers all around the world.
With the combined efforts of a number of people. The album is powered by traditional Jazz(Sugar, on alto flute) and smooth jazz(Gettin’ away from you, an original) the blues, rhythm and blues, salsa, and reggae. Most of the tunes are originals and a blend of the blues(CC’s Blues and Pass it Low) , rhythm and blues influenced Silver Fox(live), smooth rhythms, and a number of other musical genres. The album is a beautiful collection of studio as well as live tracks, which are 12 in total. The various genres in play are the pure blues, traditional and smooth Jazz, Soca , Reggae and Salsa. All of these multi genre elements were performed and executed by a number of musicians. Who worked on the making of the album with Hudson. The two opening and closing songs(Flauta Reggae intro live and Flauta Soca outro live) and the studio produced Island Pleasure, were backed by the Reggae Group, One Love. The track “Pasionada” is a Salsa tune, with Jazz elements, featuring Hudson himself on the flute and percussion. There is also a 10 minute live version of the song, This Masquerade. It was made popular by the great guitarist, George Benson. A song titled “Dr. Jizzy’s Jazz Interlude”(live) was written by Hudson. Mystery Man played the acoustic guitar and performed vocals on the original, folk/indie influenced track titled “Voodoo Lady”(live) The main focus of most songs is Hudson’s flute playing, where he has been given plenty of room to express his creativity and style of music.
Apart from all the professional musicians, a number of people who worked behind the scenes, played a huge part in the making of ‘Live and Evil’. The work on tech support was done by Taylor at the West Haven Public Library. She provided great insight in to the pros and cons of the usage of the internet when making music. The process of mixing and mastering the live tracks, was carried out by students at Prince Technical High School, Hartford, Connecticut. These students were from the department of Sound Production, and helped Hudson immensely with the entire production process. A great amount of mixing and mastering on the studio tracks was also performed by Fred from Grace Recording Studios.
With the release of this album, Hudson is looking forward to growing and evolving as an artist of many genres. While winning over music lovers around the world, and inspiring other artists through his journey.
