Smiling Eye Rocks Solo
Smiling Eye might sound like a full band, but it is lead and operated by one man. With an EP in the 80’s and an LP in 2000, “Smiley” shows no signs of slowing down. “Kali Hathor” makes you think of the Indian culture with its hints of what sounds like a sitar. Then that tone carries on throughout the song and the pace never really changes up. It’s more of a background kind of song in the middle of a movie scene; possibly at the bazaar. “All Nines” sounds like the last, only this time sounds more guitar driven. It still has that sitar feel, but set in a more modern key. If you’re into instrumental music that harbors on worldly, check out what Smiling Eye has to offer.
