The One Man Show: Stereolover
Stereolover is a singer/songwriter from Georgia who doesn’t sound Southern but has that charm in his music. “Tonight” doesn’t waste anytime introducing you to the strong vocals that make this singer/songwriter stand up tall. It’s a song jam packed with emotion and heart. With “Madness” we take a little time getting warmed up. Nature sounds welcome us in and then a guitar lick opens the door and let’s us into a mid-tempo ditty. “We Could Be” is a good one, but it’s not as strong as it could be. It’s got an okay hook, but I wanted a little more vocally. They could’ve packed a bigger punch. Stereolover starts to slow things down a bit with “Strange New Dawn,” but then “Karma” comes through and brings about a real true blue adult contemporary pop song. Usually you end the day with a sunset but we’re ending with “Sun” and it’s a good one to cap things off with. From the sound of it, it’s like a love song or at least an appreciation song to the sun. Interesting take on life I guess. In the end you should listen to Stereolover if you’re a fan of R.E.M. and Howie Day. If that’s you, check out Stereolover and all he has to offer now.
