James Nichols is an electronic artist who has something for everybody. “Lost Light” kicks things off for us with a powerhouse of noise. Neil T. Krebs is currently a middle school band instructor who spends his free time making his own sounds. “Heathermoor” sounds like a whimsical day in a meadow. It has a very fairy tale vibe to it. The same can be said of “Emerald Isle” as well. Only this one is a bit more somber. With “Incidentally For Strings” spirits are lifted once again for this royal sounding track. We end with a very captivating one - “Prairie.” Kreb has a way with instrumental music. Nathan Speir is a pianist composer who captures both the light and dark of the world in ivory and delivers it to the world. “A Little Sanctuary” has this serenity to it. When you roll into “After the Moon” you get a feeling of sadness, or at least I did. Images of someone alone on a bench as rain fell instantly came to mind. What was great about “Back Porch” is that it was made universal by the chimes. There are way more people’s porches who have them than not. “Legend of the Pelican” was odd when it began just because you don’t know what to expect because of the title, but with that said it does make you envision a beach setting on a cloudy day. Speaking of cloudy, we’re going to close this out with “Sunny & Partly Cloudy.” This one’s a little more modern and has a great pace to it. Out in New York you’ll find many aspiring artists and among them is pop artist Benjamin Hey! “Are You Out? (A.Y..O)” starts off fresh and you allow yourself to quickly be taken over by his sweet delivery. It’s a great chilled pop song. Then with “F…Me I’m Famous” is about how a girl should be with you because you’re famous. It’s not a sentiment I think we’ve heard in music before but the beat is fun. Every other month it seems like a superhero movie is in theaters so why not in music? That’s why Benjamin Hey! likely made this one called, well none other than “Superhero.” After fighting musical crimes we land on “Help Myself” for a huge pick me up because this pace is undeniable. LV Lavor is an R&B artist that will take you back to the days where that genre was all about the romance and soul. It’s like Usher and Boyz II Men had a baby and the result was Lavor. Deer MiLo is an R&B artist that’s worth the watch. “Didn’t You Know” comes on like a cross between hip hop and pop. It’s very Top 40 sounding like something Travie McCoy would put out. Then with “Oleandar Lane” things take a turn towards the R&B way of life. It’s got a sense of sensuality and definitely has what it takes to be a love making song. “Never Single” starts with Deer MiLo singing well and pristine. You get a sense that he’s coming from a fine tuned musical background or was born with those pipes. Either way, he sounds on point in this romantic track. Ending the MiLo party is “Fuss.” This track is a perfect one to end with. It ties everything in together by not being too much and just showcasing what Deer MiLo can really do with his vocal skills. Denise Edwards is an uplifting Christian artist who is a native to South Dakota, but who has since taken her music all over the globe. “God Cares About You” is a well sung track that keeps things positive and you can’t really help but do anything but listen and smile as she belts it out. With “My God Can” she gets a little heavier in the music, just a bit. Her vocals are still pure as can be though. Minister CH1 is a well rounded artist who does things for a higher power. “Get Up” is a bit funky for the Christian world. It’s definitely got this modern feel and makes it a cool beat for the church. You still have that modern twist with “Let’s Praise Him.” The delivery has this cool cat feel but with some soul undertones. In “Homies & P’s” you hear that Gospel in Minister CH1’s influence. It actually takes on an old school hip hop feel as well. Things kind of go the same way with “I Surrender My All.” Then “The Lord Is Coming Back” has this soul intertwined with funky mood to it.
